Verification of measuring instruments

Verification of a large spectrum of legally controlled measuring instruments in various fields of measurements

By Decision of UNMS SR No 2005/000557/00357 and in accordance with Act No 157/2018 Coll. on metrology, § 9 clause 5, SLM is appointed for the metrological control of the legally controlled measuring instruments. SLM ensures the performance of verification of a large spectrum of legally controlled measuring instruments in various fields of measurements, as specified in Annex 1 to the Ordinance No 161/2019 Coll. on measuring instruments and metrological control, as later amended.

Scopes of metrological services provided : verification, calibration and testing of measuring instruments and standards specified according to the particular field of measurements can be found in part Calibration of standards and measuring instruments.

  6. The statement of the Ministry of Finances of the SR is required for the measuring instruments type approval.
  7. Weighing instruments of the accuracy class IIII are intended for weighing sand, stones, solid communal waste, construction waste, and for weighing mortal and concrete in the manufacturers´ premises and carriers.
  8. The production and importation of the pre-packages is subject to the metrological control.

  11. The flow meters for measuring the nominal flowrates of Qn higher than 400 m3/ h-1 put on the market in accordance with requirements applicable in the Slovak Republic are not subject to type approval.
  12. The flow meters for measuring the nominal flowrates of Qn higher than 200 m3/ h-1 put on the market in accordance with requirements applicable in the Slovak Republic are not subject to type approval.
