17th meeting of WG8 in Berlin

On 16th and 17th February 2012 the representative of Slovak legal metrology participated in the meeting of the WELMEC Working Group 8 (WG8) that assures the development of recommendations in the field of the general application of MID. The meeting took place in Berlin and it was attended by the metrological organisations´ representatives from most of the European countries.

The discussion was focused especially on the following topics:

• solution of items concerning the measuring instruments software control,
• modifications of measuring instruments already put into service,
• general guide recording all decisions of WG8 not yet reflected in any existing guide,
• activities of the subgroup on taxameters.

In conclusion of discussion, the participants reviewed the fulfilment of the WG work program and set dates and locations of the next meetings.
