FIELD TRIP to the workplace in Bratislava – May 15th, 2025
On May 15th, 2025, students from the advanced year of the Secondary Automotive School in Vlkanová visited the Slovak Legal Metrology workplace in Bratislava.
First, OMS Director Mr. Haviar familiarized the students with the history of metrology, as this year marks the 150th anniversary of the Metric Convention. This was followed by a lecture on contemporary metrology by Mr. Kysler, Deputy Director General, and a tour of our laboratories, including the temperature, length, weight, and electrical quantities laboratories. Finally, OCS Director Ing. Šmigura showed them around the volume and flow laboratory and familiarized them with the issues of certification and testing.
We are very pleased to have welcomed young students again, who were enthusiastic about their visit to our organization, as evidenced by the many questions they asked.
