New results of research activities

On the occasion of the presentation of new “additions” in laboratories at SLM Bratislava we invited for a short visit the director of Department of Metrology of the Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing of the Slovak Republic – Zbyněk Schreier and we presented new results of our research activities to him.

Slovak Legal Metrology can boast nowadays with great number of newly acquired equipments and instruments mainly in the period of last year. Among measures which we proudly introduced is for example equipment for verification of level meters with guided wave whose advantage is especially full automatization which not only makes process easier but also eliminates subjective influences that may occur in measurement and evaluation. Another, very important for us is equipment for controlling of axle weights and suspension weights, specific mainly for the special type of construction, which allows imitate real conditions. New additions at laboratory of electricity are the Multifunction Calibrator (Fluke 5730) which markedly reduces measurement uncertainties and provides new opportunities and the second one- Reference Multimeter (8508A) which is currently one of the most accurate digital multimeter ever, thanks to several unique features. Also Cryostat (Fluke 7381) in the laboratory of heat is the one of the best on the market with advantages such as rapid onset and excellent stability of temperature field.

We believe that the positive trend of successful development will continue also in the future and we will be able to fulfill our customers’ requirements better and more thoroughly.
