Certification of products within EU

Assuring activities concerning the products conformity assessment by the Products Certification Body

Slovak Legal Metrology is the notified body no. 1432 for the field of the products conformity assessment in accordance with:

  • MID – SR Government Ordinance No 145/2016 Coll. on making available on the market of measuring instruments, as amended by SR Government Ordinance No 328/2019 Coll., which implements into the law of the Slovak Republic the European Parliament and Council Directive 2014/32/EU of 26. February 2014 concerning the harmonisation of the Member States legal rules relating to the making available on the market of the measuring instruments was transposed (MID directive);
  • NAWI Directive – SR Government Ordinance No 126/2016 Coll. on making available on the market of the non-automatic weighing instruments, as amended by SR Government Ordinance No 330/2019 Coll., which implements into the law of the Slovak Republic the European Parliament and Council Directive 2014/31/EU of 26. February 2014 concerning the harmonisation the Member States legal rules relating to the making available on the market of the non-automatic weighing instruments (NAWID directive).

Slovak Legal Metrology (non-profit organisation) as a notified body 1432 is registered by European Commision in Information System Nando (New Approach Notified and Designated Organisations).

AUTHORIZATION AND ACCREDITATION

Slovak Legal Metrology assures its activities concerning the products conformity assessment by the Products Certification Body of SLM.

Amendments concerning the measuring instruments assessment (MID and NAWI) since 20.4.2016

Within the implementation of the EU new legal framework, the current European Directive 2004/22/EC for measuring instruments (MID) and the Directive 2009/23/EC for the non-automatic weighing instruments (NAWI) were superseded by the new European Directives 2014/31/EU and 2014/32/EU on the 20th April 2016. These directives were transposed into the law of the Slovak Republic by the new SR Government Ordinance No 126/2016 Coll. on making available on the market of the non-automatic weighing instruments, as amended by the SR Government Ordinance No 330/2019 Coll., and by the Ordinance No 145/2016 Coll. on making available on the market of the measuring instruments, as amended by the SR Government Ordinance No 328/2019 Coll.
